The holidays are always a busy time for everyone. So it should be no surprise that this December will be as busy as the last one!
Make lots of cakes and cookies
Especially my mom’s delectable Rum Raisin cake. She makes it from memory (and eyeballing all her ingredients) so her measurements didn’t work well when I made it myself. This year, I’ll be on the lookout for a recipe that fits all her instructions and tastes like home.
Decorate the house
This one might be a little tough because we’re going to have the pitter patter of tiny paws soon! If anything, we will keep it minimal, like last year, and wait until next year for a tree.
Send out Christmas cards
Last year I sent out 40 Christmas cards. This year I want to keep to a budget and send them to family. Mailing to America can get super expensive!
Visit Amsterdam
We’re going down to Amsterdam to see the lights! While some Dutch so decorate for the holidays, most of the best decorations can be in the big cities. The holidays are a perfect time for tourists to visit so many streets are decked out for the holidays. My favorite place is Amsterdam Central Station. It’s magical inside!
Watch holiday classics
Holiday movies are the best and you can be sure I’ll be sharing my favorite picks.
Pull out the holiday nail polish
The holiday season is the most exciting for nail polish addicts like myself. All those glittery colors have meaning and wearing green isn’t seen as odd. At my old job, I would often receive curious looks because my nails were always blue or green but tis the season to wear everything!
Play Skyrim on Nintendo Switch
For Black Friday we did a bit of a naughty thing… We bought a Switch! I decided to go with Skyrim because the dream of playing it in bed can now be a reality. Let me tell you, it was so worth it!
