I’ve mentioned time and time again that the weather here takes a serious toll on my skin. My hands are especially under fire all day. I’m constantly washing my hands for one reason or another. During the deep winter, I’ve actually had my skin break and bleed… No fun at all. I’ve been doing my best to take better care of my hands and that includes replenishing their moisture often. Body Shop’s Almond Hand & Nail Cream is a delicate way to start the day. It’s gentle scent of almond reminds me of delicious pastries. I rub some on before I sit down to work on my computer.
Lemony Flutter or Avoplex Nail Oil are the best at cuticle rescue. It’s hard to run out of either of these two because a little goes a long way. I use them when I really need a long and strong fix for dry skin because they can also be used on the skin and not just the cuticles. They take a bit longer to penetrate the skin but linger much longer than lotion does. Once they’ve been absorbed I’ve been able to wash my hands three or four times and still have a decent layer left on my skin. I love to pair them with Charity Pot too since it’s also resilient against soap and water.
Sleepy is the perfect way to end the day. The soft scent of lavender is just right for drifting off to sleep. I’ve stated time and time again that I have problems sleeping. This quickly gets me to unwind after the day so that I can close my eyes and sleep.
What are your favorite moisturizing products? I’m always open for trying something new!
