Now I’m not turning into a beauty blog, but this is a lifestyle blog about living in The Netherlands. Sander’s been encouraging me to find stores that are Netherlands based so that I can purchase the little things that I take pleasure in. Even though I’m trying to practice minimalism, it’s nice to buy something good once in a while, you know?

The packaging
Upon opening the box, there’s a thank you note and a small stroopwafel (my absolute favorite of Dutch treats). Colored packages mean everything to me (I was so excited to study color theory in school) so the combo of gold and purple hit me in the feels. My heart raced even more as I pulled it out to unpack the polish I had ordered. Every item inside was bubble wrapped nice and tightly to protect the items from damage.
What I ordered
In total I had ordered three polishes and one magnet strip. A magnet strip? Yes.
Masura – Precious Stones – Indian Night & Magnet
I’ve been obsessed over Indian Night for nearly a year now (I saw it on Instagram last summer and wanted it so badly but shipping internationally was just too expensive for me.) Now that I live in Europe and found a store that stocks it, I couldn’t resist. The magic in this polish is the magnet strip. When applied to the polish as it’s drying, it shifts the colors and the effect is amazing to me.
Colors by Llarowe – Connie, You Saucy Minx
I got Connie in honor of Fall Out Boy’s new CD. I’ve been a hardcore fan of their’s for years and was ecstatic to see them releasing songs again. Their album is coming out later this year but I didn’t have a polish to wear in honor of it. This purple was a pretty good match in my eyes, to their album art, and just look at the sparkles it has!
Starrily – Eclipse
I’ve been really wanting a holo top coat for a while now and Starrily seems to have a very good reputation so I decided to grab one of theirs while I was at it.
You can click on the links for true color swatches. I don’t have peelable base coat and didn’t want to swatch all the colors myself.
Would I order again?
Absolutely. HP was so easy to order from and the shipping was not only cheap, but super quick. In ordering in The Netherlands two day shipping is currently a little less than €5. The Netherlands has this new active tracker so once the delivery date rolls around, you can check to see where the truck is and how many more stops it has to make before it reaches you. So convenient if you need to go out and are just waiting on your package to arrive.
The packaging was pretty cute, personalized and that extra little treat included really won me over.
