October is my favorite month of the year. It’s filled with autumnal scents, cozy sweaters, excuses to wear long boots and drink copious amounts of hot tea. But everything is easier said than done! It’s about time that I got an October to do list together.
Declutter
Summer is over now and it’s time to clean out all the leftovers! Expired boxed goods, old mail that Sander’s been saving, clothing that should be donated… I have to sort everything for a fresh start to the last few months of the year!
Get ready for the season
I’ve got to find a new household scent. Florals are on their way out and now’s the time to invest on softer scents. The simmer pots from Natural Living Ideas sound like they would be to die for especially since some of the ingredients are available in stores now. I’ve also got to find the perfect pumpkin pie recipe! Because who doesn’t love delicious and seasonal pie? Also on that note, I need to get our Halloween decor out!
Spooky reading
Read at least one spooky book! I’m currently eyeing The Travelling Bag by Susan Hill. I picked it up last year but was a bit too busy to read it. It’s time to bring it out again!
Animal Crossing festivities
I also need to get my Animal Crossing house for Halloween. In America I played for years until I had to move. I sold my copy and regretted it ever since. Now that I’ve got my EU version, I want to decorate my little home for Halloween while the special items are up for sale.
That’s the most I’ve ever used exclamation points but I’m excited about October. It’s my favorite month of the year and it’s finally back. I need to take advantage of it!What’s on your your October to do list?
